Street Life (video)
Today, Sunday 14th August was supposed to be the launch of the Street Life video at the Museum. But various factors caused events to unfold differently and it ended up being launched on Gayelle last weekend instead. I've been meaning to put it up here since then but am only now getting around to uploading it. But in a way it's just as though August 14th is still getting the chance to have its own little 'launch'. I'll leave this post up for two days.
N.B. As with the other videos, I've saved it at less than normal quality so that the file will be smaller (hence, naturally, some loss in video and audio quality).

I saw the video and i am not sure how i should view it. i found it to be all over the place. i did not get a feel of the street or what was the hardship with "street life" but this is your second or third video... so nice try..
from 1-10...10 being the highest i'll say a 6 for effort.
Thanks. Comment appreciated and understood. Second music video (for someone else). Learning as I go along. (Chose not to be literal with street or hardship).
I am happy with the video. Street Life being my 1st video I thank God that every thing worked out well. Working with Elspeth has been (off tha chain) good. Looking forward to doing more video soon.
My plan right now is to stay focus and keep God 1st in every thing I do. Always got the THICK COAT on when your out in the rain. BLESS

THICK COAT indeed, my friend. You know we will always have it on.
After hearing so many good reviews of the video from my group members before seeing it, I might be slightly biased... esp since I know both the artiste and the director and hold both their talents in high esteem. I only just saw the video once, so it hasn't really sunk in yet, but I love Elspeth's abstract style in general, so I'm feeling it. Its hard for most ppl in T&T to truly capture the hip-hop essence, but I think she did a good job overall... Just think of what it might have looked like if another director like... leh we say Luke had done it.. ! Not bashing Luke, but.. I doubt if a cheap n dirty video would have done the trick to fulfil the destiny of the song if u catch my drift. Kudos to you both. Keep doing your thing. Malik, u need to mess with some better producers doh. Datz my only criticism on this.. u KNOW u could have gotten a phatter beat and u really shld step ur beat game up to the times! It have 'nuff illmatic producers down here. Sniff around n find a few that are right for you! Elspeth I'm loving ur use of light, colours and silhouettes.. keep doing ur thing! I'll never forget the 1st time I saw u at an Island People lime years ago... hmmmm... lemme doh go dey in this space.
Back to business.
Check out the music y'all. Spotrushaz 2006 is gonna be sick!

Good stuff Malik, keep up the good work, stay focused on Almighty God and he will direct your path. Always remember He has a plan for you. To Elspeth: good work, Malik is in good hands.

This is from your cousin Rachel in London, despite the many comments, I was well impressed with the video and very happy to know you are giving the praises to whom it is due to and that is the Lord God Almighty.
Stay focus and Bless
