Past and space - that's to my taste.
At first you managed to hoax me, thinking: who's voice is this? I bet it's kind of a pitch transposing plug -in, isn't it? Plus reverb or delay. Great! And I see firmness and kindness at the the same time in your childhood photo.
It's my voice with an effect called 'Helium' from the Garage Band programme on my laptop. Yes, it sounds like pitch/reverb/delay.
... and I think the childhood photo (passport) may also include a bit of "I don't want to take this picture."
The facial expression in the photo goes well with the sharply enunciated final consonants of the speaker. Maya Angelou dwells on her final Ts like that, too.
maybe this is what you'll sound like in the future! i love this blog entry. my absolute favorite!
Hm, maybe in the future I'll be a kind of Maya Angelou character with two long (silver-grey) plaits running through the Universe sharply enunciating my final consonantsssssssssssss.
